I video weddings in West Virginia often, but it’s always fun & inspiring to travel somewhere new to document a love story. Amy & Franklin aren’t strangers to traveling, so when they got engaged they had their sights set on a tropical vibe. Costa Rica was the perfect romantic and adventurous location. This West Virginia-turned-Costa Rica wedding took place in Manuel Antonio at Hotel La Mariposa, located on the highest peak in the area with views of the mountains as well as the ocean.
I think my favorite thing about destination weddings, and elopements in general, is the carefree attitude that inevitably comes with being on a trip. Wedding days are almost always stressful in some way, but much less so when going abroad for your nuptials. Often times there are less things to think about, and less people to worry about visiting with, which makes it easier for you to focus on your relationship with one another.
Also, can we talk about audio? Captivating audio can absolutely make a video the best it can be. It also makes everything so much more personal to you. I love the vows this couple wrote to one another for their ceremony! To me, it gives the viewer a deeper sense of who you are & allows people to connect more with your story.
