Seattle Wedding Film | Within Sodo

by Seattle Filmmaker, Tyler Booth

Jenna & Meridian invited me to Seattle to film their wedding and I’m so glad I was able to be part of this celebration! For starters, Seattle is one of my favorite cities & since I don’t shoot many urban weddings anyway this was really special.

We started filming at the Palladian Hotel in downtown Seattle where the couple was getting ready. This also where the first look took place. The first look is one of my favorite parts of this wedding film because of the audio! I’m not always able to capture audio during the first look that flows with the video, but when I do it’s something else. After the first look we hopped in a limo to the next portrait location, which was Centennial Park right by the Seattle sound. I love when I’m able to use a body of water as a scenic backdrop for moments to unfold. After finding an awesome mural to work with, we finally headed to the venue. The name of the venue, Within Sodo, literally describes the location in which it resides. The Sodo District. On my first trip to Seattle the Sodo District was one of the first areas I explored so it felt like life came full circle when hired to shoot a film in that same area.

I hope you all enjoy this film as much as I do. I feel like this is another one of those couples who’s chemistry you can just feel through the video and audio alone. You’ll feel like you come away knowing them a bit at the end of this 5 minutes.

If you’re interested in having me capture life’s most precious moments on film for you, reach out to me via this link. I’d love to tell your story!

I shoot wedding videos in West Virginia most often, but I find myself in Washington at least once per year so don’t hesitate to reach out!

Destination Wedding in Costa Rica
by WV Filmmaker, Tyler Booth I video weddings in West Virginia often, but it's always fun & inspiring to travel somewhere new to document a love story. Amy & Franklin aren't strangers to traveling, so when they got engaged they had their sights set on a tropical vibe. Costa Rica was the perfect romantic and adventurous location. This West Virginia-turned-Costa Rica wedding took place in Manuel Antonio at Hotel La Mariposa, located on the highest peak in the area with views of the mountains as well as the ocean. I think my favorite thing about destination weddings, and elopements in general, ...
Destination Elopement Video in Alaska
by Destination Elopement Videographer, Tyler Booth This was the first destination wedding video that I ever shot. This is also the only true elopement that I've ever shot. Meaning it was only me, the photographer, the couple, and the officiant present during the ceremony. There's definitely something special about running away and getting married. This day had such a laid back and mysterious feel to it. Madonna and Dennis decided they needed their time in Alaska heavily documented, so along I went on a plane to join them. The allure of elopements is the spontaneity of it all. You never know what may hap ...
Jess & Matt’s Louisville Kentucky Wedding
by WV Videographer, Tyler Booth This Louisville, Kentucky wedding took place at Farmington Historic Plantation. This was a great wedding because the couple was so in love and weren't afraid to show it all day long. That's the type of day you want to capture on video. I'm lucky to shoot many couples who are head over heels for each other and that's exactly what you need - that undeniable chemistry. I think my favorite thing about this wedding was the fact that Jess + Matt chose to 1) have a first look and 2) write private vows to one another. It turned out to be so touching & a great moment for them ...
