Wedding Video | Merrimon Wynne in Raleigh, NC

by Raleigh, NC Wedding Filmmaker, Tyler Booth

Fun fact: I was born in Raleigh, NC. So again, my traveling work takes me somewhere special.

Jenna & Kyle are from West Virginia, but decided to get married in Raleigh so they could have their wedding at the historic Merrimon-Wynne house. I love that this historic home was turned into a wedding venue. I feel like things like that need to happen in West Virginia!

Since this was converted into a wedding venue, it’s easy to host any event. There are plenty of indoor rooms providing options such as a smaller event, portraits, or as Jenna and Kyle used them – a space for the perfect cocktail hour to get out of the hot sun.

Two of my favorite things about this wedding: 1) Jenna and Kyle had a kids table that had fun activities for the little ones to do. 2) For dessert they offered the option of ice cream. The ice cream was home made from Two Roosters, and they came to the venue in the form of a food truck. Food trucks need to be more of a thing at weddings! They’re alway a big hit and provide your guests with a bit of interaction they might not otherwise have.

Jess & Matt’s Louisville Kentucky Wedding
by WV Videographer, Tyler Booth This Louisville, Kentucky wedding took place at Farmington Historic Plantation. This was a great wedding because the couple was so in love and weren't afraid to show it all day long. That's the type of day you want to capture on video. I'm lucky to shoot many couples who are head over heels for each other and that's exactly what you need - that undeniable chemistry. I think my favorite thing about this wedding was the fact that Jess + Matt chose to 1) have a first look and 2) write private vows to one another. It turned out to be so touching & a great moment for them ...
Charleston, WV Wedding Film
by WV Filmmaker, Tyler Booth It's always nice to shoot in my home town! Today I'm throwing it back to this Charleston, WV wedding along the Kanawha River. Amy & Will got married at a private estate that belongs to their family. It's so incredibly special when the venue choice can be a place that truly has meaning to you. It also didn't hurt that this property was aesthetically pleasing. The front lawn is where the ceremony and reception were both held. I love that they used the backdrop of the house for their ceremony & had a tent reception on the other side of the lawn. Watch the video to see Amy's ...
Destination Elopement Video in Alaska
by Destination Elopement Videographer, Tyler Booth This was the first destination wedding video that I ever shot. This is also the only true elopement that I've ever shot. Meaning it was only me, the photographer, the couple, and the officiant present during the ceremony. There's definitely something special about running away and getting married. This day had such a laid back and mysterious feel to it. Madonna and Dennis decided they needed their time in Alaska heavily documented, so along I went on a plane to join them. The allure of elopements is the spontaneity of it all. You never know what may hap ...
