Wedding Video | Merrimon Wynne in Raleigh, NC
by Raleigh, NC Wedding Filmmaker, Tyler Booth
Fun fact: I was born in Raleigh, NC. So again, my traveling work takes me somewhere special.
Jenna & Kyle are from West Virginia, but decided to get married in Raleigh so they could have their wedding at the historic Merrimon-Wynne house. I love that this historic home was turned into a wedding venue. I feel like things like that need to happen in West Virginia!
Since this was converted into a wedding venue, it’s easy to host any event. There are plenty of indoor rooms providing options such as a smaller event, portraits, or as Jenna and Kyle used them – a space for the perfect cocktail hour to get out of the hot sun.
Two of my favorite things about this wedding: 1) Jenna and Kyle had a kids table that had fun activities for the little ones to do. 2) For dessert they offered the option of ice cream. The ice cream was home made from Two Roosters, and they came to the venue in the form of a food truck. Food trucks need to be more of a thing at weddings! They’re alway a big hit and provide your guests with a bit of interaction they might not otherwise have.
